Overview
Function and skin care benefits
Lacto-PDRN is a vegan, salmon-free polydeoxyribonucleotide produced through controlled microbial fermentation of Lactobacillus strains. It offers a fermentation-derived alternative to conventional animal-derived PDRN, reducing reliance on animal-derived raw materials while supporting consistent quality and batch-to-batch reproducibility.
Produced through advanced fermentation technology, Lacto-PDRN is designed for modern skincare formulations seeking innovative DNA-based cosmetic ingredients without reliance on salmon-derived materials.

Key benefits
Advanced Skin Conditioning — Low-molecular-weight DNA fragments provide formulation versatility and support a smooth, healthy-looking skin appearance.
Antioxidant Support — Helps maintain a healthy-looking complexion against environmental stressors.
Moisture & Texture Support — Helps maintain skin hydration and improve the appearance of dry and uneven skin texture.
Skin Comfort Support — Helps improve the appearance of environmentally stressed skin and promotes a refreshed, healthy-looking complexion.
Vegan & Animal-Free Source — Produced through controlled microbial fermentation without reliance on salmon-derived or other animal-derived raw materials.

Efficacy evaluation
key skin-conditioning markers vs. control (in vitro)
An in vitro evaluation was conducted to assess the skin-conditioning potential of Lactobacillus-derived PN/PDRN. Under the tested conditions, the PN/PDRN treatment demonstrated a significant increase in key skin-conditioning markers — achieving up to a 112.44% increase compared to the control group — supporting its application in advanced skincare and skin-revitalizing formulations.
Applications

Solubility
Soluble in water; gentle heating (below 60°C) may accelerate hydration and dissolution. Compatible with glycerin and butylene glycol.
Stability
Stable within the pH range of 5.0–8.0 under recommended formulation conditions. Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures exceeding 80°C and strong oxidizing agents.
Typical applications
Serums / Ampoules / Moisturizing creams / Lotions / Face masks / Eye care formulations / Skin conditioning formulations
Recommended usage level
0.1%–2.0%

Formulation guidelines
Addition Temperature — Lacto-PDRN is water-soluble and is recommended to be added during the cool-down phase, preferably below 45°C, to help maintain ingredient stability.
Formulation Compatibility — Lacto-PDRN can be incorporated into a variety of moisturizing and skin-conditioning formulations and is compatible with commonly used skincare ingredients, including Ectoin, Ceramides, and Hyaluronic Acid.
Recommended pH Range — Lacto-PDRN is suitable for formulations within a pH range of 5.0–7.0. Avoid exposure to strongly acidic or strongly alkaline conditions and excessive salt concentrations, which may affect ingredient stability.
Humectant Compatibility — Lacto-PDRN can be formulated with commonly used humectants, such as glycerin and butylene glycol, to support uniform dispersion and formulation performance.
Recommended Applications — Suitable for a variety of skincare formulations, including serums, creams, lotions, ampoules, and face masks.
Stability ranges may vary depending on molecular weight grade, concentration, formulation matrix, and processing conditions. Final formulation stability should be confirmed through appropriate stability testing.
